Gatlinburg Gathering

Convention Center

August 29 - 31,  2008

There are tons of photos here. What I did was put six music tracks that play automatically in the background while you are looking & reading. So turn on your sound.

We saw something that reminded us of home in a Georgia Cracker Barrel. Jefferson is the home of Blackburn-Made Syrup.

The hills, curves, valleys & mountains of Tennessee are beautiful.

Glenda was the onboard photographer for these road shots. She did a great job!

This little church was almost in the road.

This photo was taken in the Applewood Farmhouse Grille in Pigeon Forge, TN.

Exotic Birds, same place.

The following shots were taken at the Gatlinburg Gathering Aug. 29 thru 31.

We took a ride in this helicopter over the Pigeon Forge area.

Glenda took this and the following shots from the front of the helicopter beside the pilot. I took the back seat.

This was the first time Glenda had ever been off the ground.

Beautiful!!

This is the cockpit of the chopper we went up in.

This is a shot of the ground crew where we went up.

I was glad when Glenda said she thoroughly enjoyed the ride.

This is Sammy. We met him in Trenton, GA. We spent the night there after attending an Ivan Parker concert in Rising Fawn, GA.

Sammy is the official greeter at the hotel. He has a vocabulary of 4 or 5 words and 3 or 4 sentences.
